Inkmason Gives Back: Project Candy

Project Candy is a non-profit organization dedicated to provide free daycare and extracurricular education for home-stay children in villages around China. There are over 61 million home stay children left behind in rural areas all over China. These are the kids who do not have fair opportunities and possibilities for good education, not to mention a happy childhood or even growing up in a safe and secured environment with proper care.

Inkmason is proud and honored to be able to work with Project Candy as their project designer and architect. Our first mission is to design the first children activity centre in Zhengzhou, which will eventually become a prototype being rolled out in every village in need. We believe all children should have dreams and fantasies, hopes and goals, and be able to receive quality education for achieving such dreams.

Our architects and designers are all excited about this opportunity. We want to create a unique and playful learning experience for the kids. The design concept is “The Wizard of Oz” and the “M?bius strip”. It will be a modularize sustainable design with reused shipping containers and other recycled materials, to allow lower the cost of construction and maximize the flexibility of installation.

In here, children will find endless possibility and creativity through the loop of M?bius strip circulation. They will be able to find courage, knowledge and love, just like what Dorothy has found in her search way home.

糖果计划通过建立儿童活动中心并提供艺术类兴趣课程的模式，使得留守儿童可以通过创造和学习的方式来表达自己的情感，获得自信与成就感，提升其认知能力与动手能力，进而缓解其心理压力与情感缺失所造成的心理问题，同时也降低留守儿童生活环境中的一些安全隐患，使得其家庭、所在学校、村庄、当地政府以及教育部门等相关利益方获得项目的积极影响，也同时为参与糖果计划的企业、公益机构及政府部门等合作伙伴得到社会的认可与支持。
